THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday announced that the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examinations will be conducted on July 16. The exams will take place in morning and afternoon sessions.

He also announced that the third and final year LLB exams will be held on June 13 and June 14. While MBA exams will be conducted on June 21, MCA exams will be held on July 4.


Those KEAM applicants who are currently outside the state and those who have opted for exam centres outside the state will be provided with a chance to change their exam centres in June, the CM added.

Meanwhile, there will not be a separate exam for lateral entry to engineering after completion of the polytechnic course. According to the CM, the lateral entry admission will be on the basis of marks. Necessary arrangements will be made so that polytechnic students can write their exams in centres close to their homes.

The Chief Minister also added that online classes will commence in schools from June 1. A decision regarding the commencement of normal classes will be made later.


Meanwhile, the pending SSLC, Plus two exams that were postponed due to the nationwide lockdown will be held from May 26 to May 29. While the Plus two exams will take place in the morning session, SSLC exams are scheduled to take place in the afternoon session. The General Education Department has also recommended the government to postpone the VHSE exam and Plus one exam to May 26. It must be noted that VHSE exam and Plus one exams are scheduled to take place on May 21 and May 22 respectively. A final decision regarding this will be made soon.
