LONDON: COVID-19 has claimed the life of a Malayali woman doctor in Britain. She has been identified as Dr Poornima Nair who was working in Station View Medical Centre in Bishop Auckland. She was 55. She was a resident of Delhi. She was under treatment for the past one week after contracting the virus. She leaves behind her husband Shlok Balupuri, senior surgeon of Sunderland Royal Hospital and son Varun. She will be cremated in Britain itself. With this, 13 Keralites have died after contracting COVID-19.
