MALAPPURAM: Seven of the expatriates who reached Kerala in two flights from the Gulf yesterday showed symptoms of COVID-19. One who reached Karipur from Jeddah in a special flight Thursday early morning at 1.15 am and six from Kuwait showed symptoms of the virus.
A woman in the flight from Jeddah showed symptoms of the virus. The woman hailing from Malappuram has been admitted at the Manjeri Hospital. 155 expatriates were in there in AI-960 Air India’s flight which landed at Karipur.
After the six in the flight from Kuwait showed symptoms of the virus they were shifted to isolation centres in 108 Ambulance from the runway without coming into contact with others. Of the six, three from Malappuram and two from Palakkad were shifted to Manjeri Govt Medical College and one from Kozhikode has been admitted at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
