PATNA: An IAS officer has tested positive for novel coronavirus in Bihar. The infected person has been identified as 27-year-old officer posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Nalanda district.

According to sources, the officer's sample was sent for test to Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences on May 11. Principal Health Secretary Sanjay Kumar, who confirmed that the officer has tested positive for the virus, informed that he has been put moved to an isolation centre. It is learnt that the health department has collected samples from 46 people who have come in contact with the officer.
