THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Responding to the plan to release the movie 'Sufiyum Sujathayum' via an online platform, Film Exhibitors Federation president Liberty Basheer said the movies of producer Vijay Babu and actor Jayasurya will not be released in Kerala theatres hereafter if that happens.

"It's treachery to release movies like this when the cinema industry is going through a big crisis. If a new producer took such a decision, it is understandable. But this move came from a producer and an actor who have big hits to their name. This cannot be accepted", Basheer said.

"One becomes a cine actor only if his movie plays in theatres. He'll become a serial actor if movies are released through such platforms. One should think about their future too. So if such actions are taken by any actor, big or small, their movies won't be released in theatres in Kerala", he added.
