KULATHOOR: In a tragic incident, a man was killed after the cycle brake cable snapped and pierced into his neck. The diseased has been identified as Kulathoor native Vimalkumar (55).

The accident took place on Monday night near the Kulathoor junction. According to sources, Vimalkumar was returning back from a shop when he fell on the roadside after losing control of his bicycle. It was soon found out that the brake cable was snapped and had pierced deep into his neck. Though he was rushed to the Medical College Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries by around 11 pm.

Vimalkumar is survived by wife Sreelatha, children Viji VS and Vidya VS.
