NEW DELHI: The Centre has permitted states to conduct SSLC and plus two exams. Taking into consideration the academic interest of students, the centre decided to grant exemption from the lockdown measures to conduct the exams of Class 10 and 12.

Union Home secretary Ajay Bhalla has sent a letter to the chief secretaries on it. Permission was given for conducting the exams on certain conditions.

No exam centres will be permitted in the containment zone. Masks mandatory for teachers, staff and students. There will be provision of thermal screening and sanitizer at the centres and social distancing in all exam centres. In view of examination to be conducted by different boards, their exam schedules should be staggered. Special buses may be arranged by the states for transportation of the students to the exam centres.
