NEW DELHI: The Central government has given permission to operate Jan Shatabdi Express train.

In Kerala, Jan Shatabdi Express will run between Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram.

Jan Shatabdi Express will ply these routes as a special service.

Five long distance trains such as Netravati, Mangala and Duronto Express will operate service to Kerala.

The bookings for trains will begin from May 21.
