KOLLAM: A Karunagappally native man has died after being bitten by a poisonous ant in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh.

M Nizamuddeen, 46, is the son of Mohammed Kunj and Fathima Beevi. On Ramzan 27, he was praying and was bitten by a black ant on the neck and he collapsed suddenly. He was taken to Sulaiman-Al-Habib hospital but couldn't be saved.

He was running a sweet shop at Riyadh for the past 20 years and was residing with his family there.

Funeral will be held later.
