KANNUR: In a recent development, a person who has sought treatment for head injury has tested positive for coronavirus in Kannur. The incident occurred at the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. The person has been identified as a 43-year-old man from Belur in Kasargod who got injured after a jackfruit fell on his head. He had not experienced any COVID-19 symptoms.
According to sources, the person had not come in contact with anyone who had recently returned from abroad or other states. The new development has raised concern among the health workers in Kannur and Kasargod districts. Earlier, the Pariyaram Medical College had reported two similar cases where the sources of infections have not been identified.
