KOLLAM: Latest reports suggest that the investigating team suspect that there is some sort of a secret understanding between the two accused in connection with the murder of Anchal native Uthra. The police are yet to believe second accused Suresh's claim that he had no clue about Sooraj's real intention behind buying the snakes. The investigating team is trying to figure out whether was an exchange of a larger sum of money between the two after the death of Uthra.

It is learnt that there is considerable variation in the statements of the two accused when it comes to the time and place at which the snakes were exchanged. Police have managed to identify the place based on the statements given by Suresh's friends who were present along with him when the exchange took place.
