THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala reported 58 positive cases of COVID-19 on Saturday thereby taking the number of active cases to 624. While 10 of the newly infected persons are from Thrissur, 9 are from Palakkad, 8 are from Kannur, 4 each are from Kollam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Kozhikode, 3 are from Kasargod, 2 each are from Thiruvananthapuram and Alappuzha and one is from Kottayam.
While 17 of the newly infected persons had returned from abroad, 31 had returned from other states (Maharashtra-19, Tamil Nadu-9, Telangana-1, Karnataka-1 and Delhi-1). 3 persons including a health worker from Palakkad contracted the disease through contact. Meanwhile, 10 patients tested negative for the coronavirus on Saturday.
