VADAKARA: A 69-year-old man who was under observation for COVID-19 died after he collapsed at his home in Vadakara on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as CP Hashim, a native of Azhiyoor. He had recently returned from Sharjah along with his wife and had been in home quarantine.

It is learnt that Hashim's body samples tested negative for coronavirus. Following this, his body was handed over to relatives. He is survived by wife Ramla, sons Shabeer, Shahjuddin and daughter Shabjina.
