KOTTAYAM: A woman was found dead in her house in Parappadam in Illikkal. Her head was bashed in. The deceased woman has been identified as Sheeba Salih. Her husband Abdul Salih has suffered hack wounds and is in a critical state at the medical college hospital. Cooking gas in the house was turned on. A wire was tied on to Sheeba's body. Their car is missing.

Abdul Salih was found in an unconscious state. Police suspect a robbery behind the incident. The crime possibly took place during the late hours on Sunday but it surfaced only a few hours back. A posse of police came to the spot.
