worship-places

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state has decided to open worship places from Monday onwards, said Chief Secretary Biswas Mehtra. It will restrict the number of believers who are allowed simultaneous access. Celebrations like festivals will be controlled. The state government's recommendation will be submitted to the Centre soon.

Devotees should strictly adhere to social distancing measures. Even if the places of worship are opened, people should control themselves to prevent the spread of the disease and the society is capable of that, he said. The chief minister will hold talks with the religious leaders on the opening of the shrines. The final report will be handed over to the Centre on the basis of instructions received from the discussion.
