THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Places of worship, shrines, shopping malls, hotels etc will be opened tomorrow. These places will be opened tomorrow for cleaning and disinfecting and arrangements will be made to receive the public from June 9 in the state.
The new relaxations will be implemented in the face of increasing number of COVID patients. The state government has decided to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the centre in opening of these places. Only a few people will be permitted to enter at a time, physical distance, mask, sanitisation, thermal checking of temperatures etc are some of the general guidelines mentioned. Apart from these general guidelines, the state has come out with a few additional instructions.
More than 100 people will not be permitted in worship places at a time. They should maintain a six feet distance. There will be no distribution of food and prasadams.
Menu card should be used only once in restaurants. Separate doors should be there for people to enter and exit.
Separate employees should be there to operate lift and escalators in malls. There should be no crowd in these places.
More than 100 new cases of COVID are being reported in the state every day.
