THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A low pressure area developing over the Arabian sea is likely to intensify soon and may result in heavy rain across Kerala for the next four days, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned on Sunday. Following this, a yellow alert has been issued in six districts for the next four days.


The yellow alert has been issued in districts such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki. The IMD also warned that the state might also experience heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning.
