THRISSUR: Kerala on Sunday reported its 16th COVID-19 death with an 87-year-old man passing away in Thrissur. The deceased has been identified as Kumaran, a native of Engandiyoor in Thrissur.

It is learnt that Kumaran had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital after he complained of breathing difficulties. Later, he was shifted to the Thrissur Medical College.

Meanwhile, several people including doctors at the private hospital have been quarantined.
