PUTHUKKAD: Police have arrested one man in connection with the death of a middle-aged person who was found dead in the Manalipuzha three months ago. The arrested has been identified as Simon (53), an autorickshaw driver who was a friend of the deceased, Jayson.

According to police, the two were involved in a heated exchange over a financial deal following which Jayson was killed. Though it was initially believed that Jayson died of drowning, an investigation was initiated after some relatives raised suspicion about Jayson travelling to Manalipuzha.
