THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person dies of COVID-19 in the state. 43-year-old Dinni Chacko died while under treatment for the viral disease at Thrissur Medical College. With this death, the toll has risen to 16. As of today, there are 1,914 confirmed cases in Kerala, out of which 803 persons have recovered. Currently, there are 1.095 persons under treatment for the disease at various hospitals in Kerala.
The spike in the number of COVID patients was expected, health minister KK Shailaja said. The present situation is under control. Ten percent patients in Kerala developed the disease through contact. If this can be controlled, it will bring down the rate of infected. For this, the guidelines have to be strictly followed.
