KALANJOOR: A man was killed after a brawl broke out two persons over the price of a goat. The deceased has been identified as Sakkeer(49), a native of Thannimootil. Police have arrested Sakkeer's neighbour Shan in connection with the incident.

The incident took place around 8 pm on Sunday. According to police, Sakkeer had purchased a goat from Shan for Rs 5500 and promised to give the balance amount of Rs 1500 later. Later, Shan went to Sakkeer's house and demanded the balance amount. Following this, a brawl broke out between the two during which Shan hit Shakkeer with a wooden rod. Though a critically injured Sakkeer was rushed to a private hospital in Pathanapuram, he succumbed to his injuries later.
