THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The app of Kerala police titled POL- APP was launched by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday. This single app is 27 different services from police rolled into one.

Very user-friendly, Pol-App can show its user the nearest police station after station after identifying his/her location. The app will have the phone numbers and email ids of the all officers under all ranks in the force.

Paying fees for various services availed through the police, at the treasury, getting updates on passport verifications, availing Janamaithri services for the elderly can be done using the App. Soon 15 more services will be available through this app.

The app also ensures safety of women and children. The location of the user can be sent to three registered numbers via the app. During emergency situations, SOS calls can sent these numbers.

In the app, there is also provision to inform police stations while leaving your house locked. Through the App you can enter all the social media pages of the police department. Traffic Guru, Tourist Guide, instructions to prevent cybercrimes are also present in the app.

Using the Pol-App, people can send the photo and description of crimes to the police. Thus the information on abandoned children, women and senior citizens can be sent to police geo tagging their photographs.

The app is available in Google Playstore. Loknath Behera stated that the app will be available on other platforms soon.
