THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has decided not to give lockdown restrictions as the number of Covid patients is increasing in Kerala.
Even as the Covid cases are spiking people have been shifting their focus from preventive measures to other things in their everyday life and hence, the new decision to stop giving more relaxations.
People coming to Kerala via road and train will be restricted. Mask, social distancing and sanitisation will be made compulsory. Crowding at public places will not be permitted.
The Cabinet, which had discussed the matter during a meeting in the day, later informed that the State will only have the relaxations given by the Centre.
There will be steps also to ensure that home observations and quarantines are strictly followed.
The cabinet concluded that preventing community transmission and Covid deaths will be the priority of preventive measures.
