KOTTAYAM: A woman, who left home with his son after quarrelling with his alcoholic husband, were found dead along with his son in a pond near the child’s school.
The dead persons are Neendoor Onamthuruthu Chandravilasam resident Chandrababu’s wife Ranji (36) and son Sreenanth (4).
Both had gone missing at 11 am on Wednesday. Her husband is Pala Sreegokulam Chit fund collection agent Chandrababu. Her relatives have given the statement that he used to come home heavily drunk and quarrel with his wife.
On the eve of the mishap also such a thing happened.
Chandrababu himself had filed a missing complaint. His father-in-law living nearby had accompanied him to the police station. The police and fire force first searched nearby areas and a pond, but in vain. Later they searched the pond near the Anganvady where the child studied and found the body of the mother and child in hugging posture.
Chandrababu and Ranji had married 11 years ago. Fifth standard student Sreehari is the elder son. The police have filed a case for unnatural death. The body is kept at Kottayam Medical College and the post-mortem will be conducted today.
