VATAKARA: P K Kunjananthan, convict in the murder case of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan,died on Thursday night.
He was granted granted bail on March 13, this year.He was granted bail based on the report of medical board recommending better treatment for him.
In early March, Kunjananthan had approached the high court seeking bail and cancellation of his punishment. He had mentioned that he was having difficulties physically and mentally. He filed the plea pointing out that the treatment in jail is not curing his illness.
The trial court had sentenced Kunjananthan, a CPM Panur area committee member to life in January 2014 in a conspiracy case. A fine of Rs 1,00,000 was also imposed on him. He is the 13th accused in the TP murder case. The high court had earlier criticised the government for granting him parole now and then.
