Around 100 bottles of liquor were seized from Actress Ramya Krishnan's car driver on Thursday night. The driver was on his way from Puducherry to Chennai, when the police, in a routine inspection , searched and seized items from an Innova Car.

The Kanathur police said, there were 90 bottles of beer, 3 black label and 3 black label red wine bottles. All bottles were seized and a case has been registered against the driver.

The driver was released on personal bail.

The actress herself drove the vehicle to the Kanathur station to take the driver back,” police sources said.

The law enforcement team seized the bottles as transporting alcohol to Chennai is against lockdown rules as no Tasmac shop is selling liquor in the city now.
