CHERPULASSERY: A woman was found waiting near her mother's dead body for three days hoping that she would resurrect. The deceased has been identified as Chalavara native Omana (72), a retired UP teacher. Her body was kept hidden for three days by daughter Kavitha, a homeo doctor.

According to police, Omana passed away on Saturday and Kavitha had not informed this to anyone. She continued to sit beside her mother's body for three days. On Tuesday, she went on to inform the neighbours after she felt that her wait for resurrection was in vain.

Following this, the police were informed and Omana's body was found in a decayed state. Police have registered a case for unnatural death. Omana's husband had passed away 22 years ago.
