PALAKKAD: Minister A K Balan has said Palakkad district is a danger zone as more number of Covid cases are being reported from the district.

“Palakkad district is going through a dangerous phase; Any time, the situation can go out of control,” he said.

The minister said that rising Covid cases in Tamil Nadu is a challenge but the Covid test facilities in Kerala is efficient. “Medical College will be converted into Covid hospital as and when it gets ICMR permission.

Sufficient staff will be recruited in Medical College soon. Covid OP has been shifted to Medical College.

Facilities are in place in Palakkad district hospital and Medical College for treating Covid patients if more positive cases emerge from the district.
