chinease-prodcuts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new generation who has built their life using ‘Chinese net’ is now in a fix. Many items they think are essential items are now not available in market now.

Whether it is for online studies or working from home, they mostly depended on Chinease goods. This include, computer, mobile phone, its components and most other electronic products.

The inflow of these items have stopped following Covid outbreak and subsequent India-China face-off in Ladakh. No-stock boards have started appearing in Electronics shops in Kerala too.

Samsung, Acer, Lenova, HP, Del, Ziomi and Asus are brands available here.

Except Del and Asus, all are from China.

Battery, Keyboard, Mouse, Motherboard, Cover, Keypad, ports etc come from China.

Service centres say that they are not getting spare parts for these items.

In these times of online classes, market of the electronic devices is expected to increase three-fold. But India is unable to import goods according to the demand.

The market of smartphones got a fillip with the beginning of online classes. Half of the market is dominated by the Chinese company called Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi made in India as part of the Modi government’s Make In India project has many takers.

In the area of computer and smartphone, 3/4th of India’s annual sale is that of Chinese products.
