THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There will be community transmission of COVID-19 at any moment, warned Health Minister K K Shailaja. The minister said six districts including the capital city have been asked to be very careful. Psycho social project has been formed to improve mental health, the minister added.
Inspections were tightened in the capital city under the leadership of the district administration taking into account the chances of community transmission and unknown sources of COVID cases. The police and the health department had tightened inspection on business firms and streets. As restrictions fearing community transmission entered into the second day, the rush of people in shops and roads have decreased.
The health department has decided to conduct mass inspection in markets. The authorities decided to conduct more inspections in markets as social distancing and use of masks are not being followed.
