THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Coronavirus scare grips the capital city after a police officer in the AR Camp tested positive for the virus. The officer was even on duty in front of the secretariat gate. CM Pinarayi Vijayan urged the public to stay vigil in Thiruvananthapuram. Those who don't have urgent matters shouldn't come to the city, it is advised.

The Attingal native police officer was admitted to hospital on June 28 after showing symptoms. He was deployed in Anayara till June 27, which was a containment zone. The officer travelled to Aluva on June 26. He was on duty at gate no.2 of the secretariat. Many will have to be placed under quarantine. The canteen of the AR camp has been shut down.
