KOTTAYAM: In a complaint handed over to the chief minister, it is alleged that a 21-year-old girl in Santhwanam Ashraya Centre was sexually abused by the Trust Board director’s husband.

The allegation is against Trust Director Annie Babu’s husband Babu Varghese. The complaint in this regard was given by the girl. In the complaint, the girl has said that Babu grabbed her, after showing her a sex video.

There are also reports that the staff of the Centre used to take the inmates to Annie Babu’s house to tend to her mother. The Child Welfare committee has shifted 17 elder girls to another centre.

Kottayam Women’s Cell has started investigation into the complaint.
