MALAPPURAM: Kerala on Sunday recorded its 26th COVID-19 death when an 82-year-old man, who had been in a critical condition at the Manjeri Medical College, died Saturday evening. The dead has been identified as Muhammed of Chokkad.

He was on quarantine after coming from Riyadh on June 29. He was admitted to the hospital on July 1st for fever. His swab samples were sent for examination earlier. He was tested positive of the virus Sunday morning. He will be cremated as per COVID protocol.
