THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IT secretary Sivashankar was a regular visitor at Gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh’s flat at Mudavanmugal, according to residential association members.

Association Joint secretary told private channels that Sivashankar visited the flat in a State car.

"Swapna had lived in that flat for about five years. It was then she got a job in UAE Consulate after which Travel agency representatives started visiting her.

Sivashankar used to come here three to four days in a week. The whole of Sunday he spent in the flat. He ordered food from outside. As he frequented the place, the Residential Association arranged a security staff. This irked Swapna’s second husband and he beat up the security. Though he complained, the CI didn’t file a case; later he influenced the security and settled the issue.

It was in Sivashankar’s car, the person taken into custody in the gold smuggling case used to go out."
