THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The customs are questioning Soumya, wife of Sandeep Nair, aide of Sarith, accused in smuggling gold of 15 crore via diplomatic channel at the Thiruvananthapuram Airport. Sandeep is absconding.

Sandeep Nair is the owner of the firm Carbon Doctor inaugurated by the Speaker. Carbon Doctor is a Startup that removes carbon pollutants from the engine of cars. The investigating team suspect that both Swapna Suresh and Sarith have partnership in this firm. Though she is not the owner of the firm, it was she who invited the Speaker for the function.

The investigating team is trying to locate both Swapna and Sandeep Nair. The customs suspect the involvement of more in the case.
