THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Now, Sandeep Nair’s mother seems to have made a U-turn or she might have been misquoted by some channel earlier.

His mother Usha says Sandeep, who has gone underground in connection with Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case, has no connection with the CPM and on the other hand, he is a BJP worker.

“I have not said that my son is a CPM worker. A case should be filed against channels who create such fake news. Sandeep has links with BJP leaders. He used to campaign for BJP during elections. He works for BJP, even risking his life. He has campaigned for the BJP during election. His vote is only for BJP,” Usha said in an interview given to a private channel.

By now photos of Sandeep standing with CPM leader as well as a BJP leader have appeared on the social media. Initially some channel quoted Usha as saying that he is a CPM branch committee member.

Soon after this, CPM Thiruvananthapuram district secretary himself came out to say that Sandeep has no connection with the CPM.

Meanwhile, a few hours ago, BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan in his Facebook post said that cover photo of Sandeep’s FB page proved his hold in the CPM.

Referring to his photo with Sadeep, he said “during campaign many come to pose with me to take photos and Sandeep is not a BJP worker”.
