THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State president K Surendran on Thursday evaded questions regarding BJP’s connection with gold smuggling case accused Sandeep Nair, who had gone underground.

He also ducked questions on BJP councilor Ramesh, who is under a cloud of suspicion in connection with the gold smuggling incident.

On the other hand, Surendran said he didn’t know BJP loyalist and BMS leader Hariraj, who is also under Customs’ radar. The Customs is looking forward to question him as he is said to have made call in order to release the confiscated contraband.
