KOCHI: Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair, the first two accused in the gold smuggling case, have been remanded for 14 days by the NIA court. It is learnt that the two will be soon shifted to the COVID care centre at Angamaly. Earlier, some of Swapna's relatives had reached the NIA office at Kadavanthra.

The two accused were brought to Kochi by around Sunday afternoon. It is learnt that the two accused had undergone COVID-19 test on their way to Kochi.
