THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 435 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, Health Minister KK Shailaja. Of the new cases, 206 persons developed the disease through contact. Among the new cases, 128 had returned from abroad and 87 had returned from other states. 10 health workers, 1 DSC and 1 CISF personnel also tested positive for the virus on Sunday.

District wise breakup of COVID-19 positive cases:

Palakkad-59, Alappuzha-57, Kasargod-56, Ernakulam-50, Malappuram-42, Thiruvananthapuram-40, Pathanamthitta- 39, Thrissur-19, Wayanad-19, Kannur-17, Idukki-16, Kottayam-12, Kollam-5, Kozhikode-4.

Meanwhile, 132 patients tested negative for the virus on Sunday, the minister added.
