KOCHI: The Lulu mall in Kochi has been closed temporarily after the Kalamassery Municipality area (Division no 34) was declared a containment zone by the authorities. The mall will continue to remain closed until further notice, a Facebook post read.

Earlier, the district collector had declared Madathipparambil lane and Kennedy Mukku in (Division no 33)Church road in Cheranalloor ward(9), Chiirnikkara ward (15) and Chengamanad ward (12) as containment zones after 50 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the district on Sunday. Among the newly infected persons, 40 had contracted the disease through contact.
