PADALAM: Pandalam royal family members have said they are whole-heartedly accepting the Supreme Court order regarding the administration of Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple.
“This is an order that gives joy to all devotees. Via this order, the Supreme Court has made it clear that the covenant signed between the India government and Travancore Royal family is still valid. This is a pleasant thing.
The case reminds one of the need for the coming together of devotees. The verdict accept, in principle, the long-standing demand that temple administration is for temple believers.
In the past, there have been instances of seeing devotees as enemies. This order of the Supreme Court will go in favour of many other orders that are yet to come.
Our ‘pranam’ to Royal family members and other organizations who have led a nine-year-long legal battle for such a verdict,” said Pandalam palace management committee president Sasikumar Verma and secretary P N Narayana Varma.
