KOLLAM: Sooraj publicly confessed that he had killed his wife Uthra in Anchal. He made the confession to the media when brought to his house in Adoor. He was almost in tears when the forest department brought him to collect evidence. But when asked what the motive behind the murder was, Sooraj said nothing.

The forest department had got the custody of Sooraj and snake catcher Suresh of Kalluvathukkal for collecting evidence again. Authorities of the forest department took them into custody from Mavelikkara sub jail after the court remanded them.
