THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A panel headed by the chief secretary will investigate the six months phone calls of M Sivasankar, former principal secretary of the chief minister. The panel has sought the details from telecom companies. The panel decided to examine Sivsankar's phone records after the disclosure of his relationship with the suspects of the gold smuggling case.

The panel will mainly investigate Sivasankar’s phone records and Swapan Suresh’s appointment in the Space Park. Meantime, the customs had questioned Sivasankar in the case. The interrogation which started at 5.30 pm last evening continued till Wednesday early morning. Before the interrogation, the customs officials reached his house and issued a notice. The interrogation was at the customs office in the capital city. After the interrogation, the customs team dropped him home.
