THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The man who attempted suicide at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College while under observation for COVID-19, died here Thursday. The 52-year-old was a native of Kollam. He was shifted to the intensive care after his condition turned critical, but his life could not be saved. Two had earlier committed suicide while under observation for COVID.

He was brought to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a fall from a tree. On suspicion of having contracting the disease, he was under observation.

The suicide attempt was noticed when the health workers arrived this morning.
