THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air India SATS former vice president Binoy Jacob has resigned from the ground handling agency Bhadra International. It is learnt that Binoy submitted the resignation letter after the company asked him to resign following his alleged connection with the gold smuggling case. It must be noted that Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case, was appointed during Binoy's tenure. It was discovered that Swapna was appointed in Air India SATS despite her ineligibilities

Earlier, former administrative officer Merin Mathew had revealed that it was Binoy who appointed Swapna by hiding her ineligibilities. She had also said that Binoy used to pressurize the staff to support gold smuggling.
