THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Soon after COVID-19 was confirmed in the surgery ward of the medical college, the bystanders of patients admitted in the ward after surgery, tested positive for the virus. This happened in the post-operative ward of the medical college. Those confirmed of the virus said the authorities conducted the tests only after they compelled them. They said they had symptoms like fever etc.
Meantime, the hospital authorities said the problem arose after a group of people gathered in front of the ward. They were not willing to move from there. It is really an issue many coming as bystanders. The hospital is considering to restrict the bystanders.
Ten containment zones were declared in the capital city following transmission of the disease.
