THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has excluded PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) company from the consultancy post in the e-mobility project. Earlier, the company had been removed from the consultancy post of Space Park, as well.

The PWC was removed after the CPM central leadership came out against the State government’s consultancy contracts. The Central leadership’s instruction to the government was that it should re-examine all consultancy contracts and exclude companies in the black list.

Much earlier, the Opposition had raised strong allegation against PWC. The main argument was that the government had signed the contract with the company that was blacklisted by Sebi. In response to this allegation, the chief minister himself had said that there was no flaw in the appointment of the company.

The decision to re-examine the contracts was taken following the removal of Sivasankar as private secretary. The CPM State secretariat meeting held on Saturday had also directed the government to re-examine contracts.
