THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister K K Shailaja has said Covid positive patients reaching first line treatment centres for observation should carry with them essential items. Those who have some other disease should keep medicines for that disease with them.
The minister was speaking on Saturday after evaluating the first line treatment facilities provided at Kazhakoottam Green Field stadium for first line treatment of Covid patients.
“There are 12 clusters in Thiruvananthapuram at present. This number can increase or decrease. The government is taking measures to contain the number of clusters. That is why first line treatment centres are being set up.
Covid preventive measures in the State are intense. Compared with other 21states, the Covid mortality rate in Kerala is very low. Nevertheless, each life is important. People should show the alertness that has the value of life. Kerala entered the third phase of transmission due to eruption of market cases,” she said, adding that Dr Arun will be in charge of the centre at Greenfield stadium.
