THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Pinarayi Vijayan should be questioned in the gold smuggling case as it is obvious that the office of the chief minister have a role in the gold smuggling case, said opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. Consultancy Raj is witnessed in Kerala. This government never had an image and asked how it can tarnish an image that does not exist, Chennithala asked while addressing the media.
Chennithala said the IT Secretary and IT Fellow of the chief minister's office are involved in the smuggling. The time has come to question the chief minister. It is like deceiving the people saying the chief minister does not know anything about the person who has been the IT secretary for four years and IT Fellow for two years. The office of the chief minister should be probed and the chief minister should be interrogated, demanded Chennithala.
The chief minister is saying the opposition is trying to tarnish the image of the government. This government never had an image. Writing in the international media through PR work does not create an image. The image should be created through public welfare activities. Such activities have not taken place in the last four years. Then how a non-existent image would be lost, asked Chennithala.
Consultancy Raj is seen in Kerala. Three multinational companies like KPMG, PWC, Ernst & Young have been hired as consultants. The chief minister is helping such companies. Consultancy was given to Price Water House Coopers without inviting a tender. This is massive corruption and nepotism. The chief minister was not ready to give a reply when the opposition pointed all these things. No consultancy was appointed during the tenure of the Oommen Chandy government. DMRC was entrusted for Kochi Metro, he said.
