THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The customs questioned Jayaghosh, a gunman attached to the UAE Consulate, in the hospital. He is likely to be questioned again. The IB has also sought details from him. He is undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained during a suicide attempt. The customs officials believe that the suicide attempt was fake. Customs said that his statements are contradictory.

Jayaghosh had continuously spoken to Swapna Suresh and Sarith on the day the gold was seized. The customs believe that he is aware of everything. He kept on saying that he was threatened but failed to disclose the details of who threatened him. In the statement recorded by the magistrate, he did not clarify from whom he received the threat.

Jayaghosh who went missing from his wife’s house in Thumba was later found with injuries on his hand.
